Beer Belly

Hat’s off to Beer Belly, a new beer/restaurant that has opened in Los Angeles, California. It is located in Korea town. Conveniently situated at 532 S. western Avenue. Eco Friendly, the venue has it’s own parking lot. One does not need to waste gas looking for a place to park. Inside you will be calmed by the wood paneled walls. The chairs are made of recycled plastic coke bottles. The taps are functional, not overly decorated with beer logo’s. Two (2) nicely sized televisions adorn the wall for your viewing pleasure. All this makes the craft beer experience that much more enjoyable.

Now for the beer. On tap, craftbeers are abundant. Two (2) that I tried were as follows:

1) Brouwerij West: 9 Tripel

8.25% abbey tripel, caramel, light, smooth bitterness on the back end, fizzy.

2) Bootleggers’s: Plum Riot

7.8% Belgian style dubbel, light sweet, plum taste.

Thanks again to the proprietors of Beer Belly. Jimmy and Yume Han have taken the environment into consideration with the building of Beer Belly. It is sure to be a Los Angeles landmark or at least destination for a beer or two.

Thanks for taking the time to read this post.

Until the next time.
