The event was called for 6:00pm. Every time one bought a speakeasy beer, one was given a raffle ticket. A trip to Sn Francisco Beer Week was to be the grand prize. Beer in bottles was given as well.

The following (3) three beers were sampled.

1) THE DON

tripple IPA, citrus hops, grapefruit and spices.

2) speakeasy ‘09 brewer’s reserve

barrel aged, whisky barrel, smooth alcohol taste, spices that mellowed it  out. 13.7%

3) ScarFace

dark, hearty. double imperial stout. 10.2%

High marks go to Speakeasy for there constant good beer brewing. One may think that the high alcohol content would make the beer hard or harsh to drink, however it seemed to have mellowed. Perhaps it was the aging process that led to this. Every time I have had one of there beers, it has always been a pleasant drinking experience.
