HANGAR 24

A voyage was made this past weekend to the port of Hangar 24. It is located in Redlands , CA. Now I must admit that I first tried a beer from this brewery at a beer festival which was closer to my home. It was called Orange Wheat. It was delicious. After reading the Session #43 Blog, I wanted to visit this brewery which was about an hour from my home. Along with First Maat, we drove to Redlands. Hangar 24 had opened in 2008. Josh gave us a tour. It was quiet informative.
Now for the beer.

2ND Anniversary Ale
Fresh pressed apple cider from local Oak Glen
Caramelized Sugar from a local culinary school
Belgium yeast

Most ingredients were local to Redlands area. Apple cider flavor rounded out by carmalized sugar - perhaps the sugar made it a touch sweet.

Pro-AM IPA
American IPA with six different hops.
8%
Citrus, hoppy and carbonated.
I suggest that one tries to find their local brewery and take a chance. You might actually be pleasantly surprised. It also doesn’t hurt to support your local commerce. Usually brewers give back to the community and donate some of the proceeds to charity.
Thanks for taking the time to read this post.
